It's a corrupt GIF file used by your linksys application.
1. Delete all files in ..Windows/Temp File folder or have a disk clean-up (check on Temporary files). 2. restart your pc.
hope this solved your problem :)

I am getting Exception GIFException in Module aviWUSB54Gv4.dll at 0002516B. What is this? How do I fix it? It is not allowing my Linksys wireless adapter to start or operate.

What is the Operating system on the computer ?
If you are using the Linksys utility to connect to the wireless network then switch over to windows utility.
You can uninstall and reinstall the adapter . You will need the disc for it.

Having trouble with linksys wireless usb 54 gc. I

Linksys wireless card mosly gives this type of error and not work with its own driver. Try uninstalling the drivers completely , reboot your systems then plug in the Usb adapter so that it uses the windows default drivers. that will resolve your issue.

Internet explorer will not open. Error message below.

Okay, the driver for IE (hal.dll) needs to be reinstalled.

Do the following:

Press the windows key and R
Type in command
In the command prompt that comes up:
Type in cd C:\Windows\System32\
Type in taskkill /f /im "hal.dll"
Type in del hal.dll
Then restart your computer

What taskkill does is kill the IE application that is using the driver so you can delete it. After your system restarts, Windows will automatically reinstall the IE driver, and the problem will be fixed!

I keep receiving an application error aviWUSB54GC.dll stemming from my linskys wireless router and it will not allow me to uninstall the program

Download the driver for WUSB54GS - Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with Speedbooster from www.linksys.com at least I think this is the one, and save it on your C drive where you can find it. After you complete the download, check the file to see if it has aviWusb54Gv4. If it does then you have the right one. Open two windows, one with the one that shows the files you just downloaded and the one under Program files for your Compact Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor. Replace the aviWusb54GC.dll file with aviWusb54Gv4.dll file by dragging and dropping it from the C drive to the one in Program files. Also check that you have resWusb54Gv4.dll file, if not just drag and drop it too and that the green icon with the black lines is WUSB54GSC. Try this and let me know if it works for you.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
