Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
We have a Goldstar over the range microwave. The turntable was not turning so I took the bottom cover off. The motor turns fine, but the turntable shaft appears to be broken. The end on the turntable motor looks a bit melted and the part of the shaft that is inside the microwave housing also looks fried. I want to know if I can replace the turntable shaft. I have tried pulling it out from inside the microwave, but it does not fit through the hole and I do not see any way to access the area inside where the shaft is. Can I replace the turntable shaft and if so, how?
Wouldn't bother- buy a new microwave. overstove models take more heat than counter-tops. goldstar mws are inexpensive, but also cheap!
how old is it? is it cost effective to repair it vs replace it? doubt it! if it's still qualified for manufacturer repair- contact them. if not- replace!
