U have not mentioned that what have u experienced with other media players like Win Media Player, if that works fine, u have to reinstall the Toshiba DVD player software from the official website of toshiba by following the link below;

Hi there,
We Wish You a Happy New year.
Step 1: This might be because of external devices or non-bootable CD or DVD in the CD/DVD drive. Remove all the external devices (including pen drive/flash drive/CD or DVD disc) connected to your computer and then check for the issue.

Step 2: It might also happen if system is unable to find any bootable device.
Try restoring default setting in BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) and check. Also please check for the boot priority. For this you have you to contact the system manufacturer.

Toshiba m45-s355 reformat from usb

Hi

Thak you for yor query

To ensure the CD/DVD is clean please try booting from a known working PC, from what you are describing it may not be your CD drive

If the same thing happnes on another PC then it is the CD/DVD that is faulty, however if it works, then you can try to hook up a external drive, the laptop may defualt to it after trying all the other options i.e. CD rom drive, HDD etc

The output display is your monitor. You may need to change the resolution of your minitor. Change it back to default settings. Also try a new program to play your dvd such as VLC media player or Gom Player. Bother are available off http://download.cnet.com/windows/ Hope this helps. Can u rate me if it does.

It sounds like the DVD player software is defaulting to an external monitor connection for the DVD video output. Try installing a different player or reinstalling/reconfiguring the one provided.

Are you trying to burn from a specific program? From the looks of the error I would suspect Adobe Premier. Do you know which Operating System you use (Vista, XP)?

How do i connect my dvd ram drive on my toshiba m35x s114?

Is this an external drive? Here a tip: Anytime you use a peripheral with USB you must load the drivers first, then hook up the device. This is only with USB devices. So try uninstalling your DVD driver, unplug the DVD player, reload the driver for the DVD player, then hook the DVD player back up. That should take care of it.
