Question about Samsung HP-T4254 42 in. Plasma Television
Almost 2 years old. Will shut off while watching--after warms up, about ten minutes. Power relay clicks--slow cycle. Same relay noise that clicks when tv is turned off or on. Power button not responsive. I unplug the tv and wait few minutes. PLug back in and turn on. Same results after about ten minutes.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It does sound a lot like a buffer board problem, Just which one is the question. Sometimes it is in fact a connection issue. But 1/2 of the screen missing sounds like maybe connection between the 2 buffer boards. It could possibly be the panel. If that is the case. ITs over for that set. But i would suggest first calling samsung and asking them to extend the warranty for 90 days or so. Sometimes they will do this for nice customer such as yourself. 1-800-SAMSUNG. Let me know how this turns out first then we can proceed further if needed. Good luck and keep me posted. Sincerely Jay

A Replacement Power Supply.
Parts: £80 - £110 depending on the model.
Labour: £40 (ish) little bit more with a 90 day warranty etc.
Type your model number into www.chsinteractive.co.uk for the price on a PSU.

Most likely it has some bad capacitors in the power supply. Flat--panel sets are VERY hard on capacitors, due to the fact that the "rising heat' from the set "cooks" the caps and they fail VERY early.
