This is the only question/problem in most of the forums I came across while searching the net, which seems that this problem is common. Just quoting a frustrated user -------------"I have a T200 D/top Pc which I bought three years ago from PC World.
The problem with the machine is that when turned on I can hear the DVD
and harddisk trying to start when turned on. The machine does not show
the blue power led on the front of the machine and the cooling fans do
not run.
I tried the power supply on my brother's machine (T100)
and all OK, my power supply also ran his machine with no problems, must
be a problem with my PC.
I notice that a couple of people on the
form have had the same problem with their T100's but did not get any reply's. Does that mean that nobody has an answer. I am very
disappointed as this PC was very expensive at the time when I bought it
but does not look like anybody has a solution to the problem. So mutch
for PCworld."------ unquote
But off course there exist a SOLUTION !
CHANGE THE SMPS(POWER SUPPLY INSIDE THE CPU) WITH ONE OF THE SAME RATING(i.e.) WATTAGE AND A BRAKE-UP OF THE 3+3 VOLTAGES, VIZ. 12, 5 & 3.3 Volts.
I am sure such power supplies are still available but very costly!..sodeep
