Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camera mode won't come up. . .

My beloved camera quit working the other day after a few years of faithful service.  When I turn it on, playback mode comes up, but when I turn it to camera mode it is still on playback, the lens doesn't extend and it won't take pictures.  If I push the button to take a picture, it begins beeping at me and won't stop until I take the batteries out.  Help please, or I'm selling it for parts.

Canon a610 no display of new pictures only previous

I almost have the same problem.
My camera automatically switches between playback and camera mode quickly only for a while, then it remains still in the playback. When it remains in playback,if I toggle the playback/camera switch few times,it may work for some shots but again the problem begins. Did you find any solution?

Can you play back ok ? ( i.e. no distortion in playback mode ) if you can but have no image in capture mode then your camera's CCD sensor is faulty and must be replaced. If camera is not more then 2 years old, you should try to have it done free of charge since the sensor should last 10 years +.

Camera freezes in any picture taking mode

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. you need professional service to fix it.
