I have my vx8100 plugged into a USB port and all three drivers are in the device manager. Now how do I manage the contact list on the SIM card and copy it onto my PC? What's the cheapest and most effective software to do this? I need to get that contact list onto another phone. Where do I look?..............................

To Identify a Working USB Port
Begin troubleshooting your USB ports by checking Device Manager to see if your USB ports or hubs are working properly.
Click the Start button. ClickControl Panel.
ClickSystem and Maintenance.
Double-clickUniversal Serial Bus controllersand check to see if all your USB ports, hubs and controllers are functioning correctly. Any devices not functioning will have a yellow exclamation mark in front of them.
If Device Manager shows any USB ports, hubs or controllers are not functioning, check for updated drivers.
To Update the USB Port Driver
An out-of-date BIOS driver can create issues with your system recognizing the USB port.
Printers are particular about which usb port they are plugged into, a virtual printer port is assigned to USB1 in the computer, when you select the printer port for it to use. You may need to plug the printer into each USB port, until you fine the USB port 1 which it works in, remember to always connect it to this same usb port, otherwise it will not work. There is only one USB port number 1.
Hi, Did you install any Anti virus . Check the USB port for any physical damage. Try connecting a mouse with USB port to check if its working. After all this then the issue remain the same then the USB port needs an replacement. Regards.
You can get a PCMCIA adapter with 4 USB v.2.0 slots on eBay. It requires power from the USB port on the laptop, but the pigtail connector is included. Works like a charm! Comes from China just like everything else in this country.
