How to enable cookies on my Google account

Cookies are enabled or disabled by your browser settings.

The procedure for enabling cookies varies from browser to browser, but generally you want to launch the browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.) and look for Options or Internet Options in the menu system for the browser.

From the options menu, look for privacy and/or security settings to see if cookies are disabled. In some cases, there may be an option to allow or disallow cookies for specific websites.

In recent copies of Firefox: If there is no menu at the top left, tap the Alt key to reveal the menu, click on Tools, then Options, then examine the Security and/or Privacy tabs for cookie settings to enable them.

Alternatively, in Firefox, try clicking the padlock or globe on the address line for the site you are attempting to access and examine the cookie settings for that site.

Magicjack problems

What browser are you using? This message usually means that you have enabled the Private Browsing feature or otherwise disabled cookies. Assuming you do not have a cookie-blocking extension (NoScript in Firefox), follow the directions below for enabling cookies in the common Windows browsers.

For IE (in the desktop for Windows 8) to change the permissions for Cookies: click on the Gear symbol on the line with the URL bar. (Alternatively if you have the Menu toolbar visible (press Alt to get this visible) then click on Tools. Select Internet Options. Go to the Privacy tab and reduce the privacy setting to Medium. Click Apply and then OK and then close your browser and reopen it. Then go to the MagicJack site. If that doesn't work, check if the Tracking Protection is enabled. Click on the Gear and then Safety. Go to turn on Tracking Protection. In the new window, check if MagicJack is listed. (The key sequence <Control>+<Shift>+P turns on the Private Browsing feature. It should be disabled when you close and restart the browser.)

In Firefox to change the cookie permissions, click on Tools and select Options. Click on the Privacy icon. In the History section, you need to set that to Custom. Then you can enable or disable cookies. Click OK. Close the Options window then restart your browser. Make sure that Always use Private Browsing is not checked.

For Chrome, click on Menu icon (the icon with three horizontal lines) on the URL bar. Click on Settings and then select the Advanced link. Then under Privacy, click on the Content Settings button. Make sure either of the first two options for cookies are checked. Click Done and restart the browser.

I hope this helps.

How to get gmail to accept cookies

When you visit a website, the server may place a cookie on your hard drive. These very small files (which got their nickname from the trail of cookie crumbs you might leave behind you) contain information unique to you, which the web server will "read" to recognize you when you revisit the site. Cookies must be enabled on your computer to view certain websites. Follow these steps to enable cookies on the browser version you are using.

Internet Explorer 6.0 Click "Internet Options" on the Tools menu. Select the "Privacy" tab. Make sure the privacy level is no higher than "Medium High." Click the "OK" button. b> FireFox 1.5 b> Select "Options" on the Tools menu. Click on the "Cookies" tab. Make sure the box to "Allow sites to accept Cookies" is checked. Click "OK." b> Netscape versions 6 and 7.1 b> Select "Preferences" on the Edit menu. Click the "Privacy & Security" tab. Then click "Cookies." Click on the box to "Enable All Cookies." Click "OK."
Enable Cookies in Browser b> Web browsers store cookies from websites you visit on your computer. Cookies can store a website's preferences, your login state on the site or track your browsing activity across a website. Many websites, particularly ones that require you log in, need cookies enabled in your browser before you can log in. Cookies are enabled by default on all major browsers, but you can also enable them if they've been disabled from your browser's options window.

Click the gear icon at the top right corner of the Internet Explorer window and select "Internet Options." Click the "Tools" menu if you don't see a gear icon. Click the "Privacy" tab at the top of the Internet Options dialog. Drag the Settings slider to the bottom to enable all cookies. You can also set the slider to medium or low to allow most cookies, except certain types of cookies that can be used to track you. Most websites should work properly at medium. Click "OK." Mozilla Firefox b> Click the "Firefox" menu button and select "Options." Click the "Tools" menu if you don't see the Firefox menu button. Click the "Privacy" panel icon at the top of the options window. Click the drop-down box to the right of Firefox Will and select "Use Custom Settings for History." Enable the "Accept Cookies From Sites" and "Accept Third Party Cookies" check boxes by clicking them if they're disabled. Most websites should work properly without the "Accept Third Party Cookies" check box checked. Click "OK." b> Google Chrome b> Click the wrench icon at the top right corner of the Google Chrome window and select "Options." Click the "Under the Hood" tab at the left side of the options page. Click the "Content Settings" button to the right of Privacy. Click the "Allow Local Data To Be Set (Recommended)" option and uncheck the "Ignore Exceptions and Block Third Party Cookies From Being Set" check box if you want to allow third party cookies. Most websites should work properly with third party cookies disabled. Close the options tab. Hope this helps.
