From DELL's web-site:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=VOS_D_A100

select your specific model of the VOSTRO, and select your Operating System, and download the driver.

Dell Latitude D610 won't recognize my wireless card after reinstalling windows when the old hd failed. Have installed all the drivers I can find, it still says that there is not wireless adapter connected...

Open Device Manager and expand "Network Adaptors"
Check to make sure you have a wireless adaptor shown.
If no wireless adaptor is shown I would suggest you contact Dell Support. When posting for computer assistance it always helps to say what your Operating System is.
Sometimes Windows 10 for example will not recognise hardware designed for earlier OS.

Uninstall any and all "Norton" application from your computer using the "Norton uninstaller". Then reinstall the network adapter drivers.
The norton firewall causes a HUGE LOT of problems to the network adapters.
Get another security solution, other than any "norton" product.

I reformatted my tosh. satellite, what happened to my wireless? why am i not able to find my adaptor in device manager?

Did you reinstall from the Toshiba-supplied "System Recovery" CD-ROM, or from some other "retail" Windows XP CD-ROM ?

The Toshiba CD-ROM contains the device-driver.
Toshiba's web-site also contains the device-driver,
for use in a situation like yours.

Within Device Manager, look at the "Unknown Devices" branch.
Expand that branch, then double-click on the '?' device,
and choose "reinstall driver", and allow Windows to connect,
via Ethernet cable connected to a router, or to a cable-modem, or to an ADSL-modem, to the Internet to find and download the correct driver.

I have reloaded XP on my 6 year old Dell Inspiron 500m and it appears to have forgotton it has a built in wireless adaptor. The wireless network icon only shows in the 'my connections' display when I...

For starters, make sure the wireless adapter is turned on. Some laptops have an external switch. Also, look to see adapter is enabled in the Device Manager (control panel > system). If you do not see an device manager, you may need to reinstall driver for the adapter. All drivers that came with system can be found online at Dell's support website.

I'm trying to set up a new wireless router but i get a messagw that says thw network adapter is not working

Open the Device Manager and check if the wireless device is listed under the "Network Adaptor".

You may also check in the "System Information" window for all the network adaptors installed and functional in the Computer.

Follow the steps given below to access the "System Information" window:

(i) Please press the Windows key on the Keyboard and then press the "R" key while holding down the Windows key to open the Run dialog box.

(ii) Then, please type "msinfo32" in the Run dialog box and click OK to open the System Information window.

(iii) In the left pane, click on the plus sign next to the Components then on the Network adaptors. This will display all the installed and functional network adaptors in the right pane. Check if wireless adaptor is listed.

If the wireless adaptor is not listed at any of the places then you may try restarting the Computer and reinstalling the wireless driver.

If the Computer still shows the message then the issue may be with the wireless adaptor.

Reinstalled vista on Dell E521s but lost network connection.

Does in system hardware configuration the network adapter show up with a driver attached to it?
Recover disk/partitions not only includes windows but all further necessary drivers for such PC then windows provides. Graphic adapater, soundcard, networkadapter.
If there is a unrecognized networkk adaptor there type 1394 you should get to know which driver it needs.

This is why I dislike Dell PC's allways. You own one, they own you together with Microsoft

Try disable, then re-enable the driver, if still no luck, try to locate the wireless adapters properties an check to see if all is in order, ch, SSID, everything must match to the wireless signal. (by the way where is the signal coming from ?) your router ? or else where ?

LAN CARD ADAPTOR IS MISSING AFTER FORMATING TO XP PRO

Not sure I understand you what you mean. Let me recap:
1) Your LAN adaptor was working before you reloaded Windows XP Pro.
2) Now it’s not showing up in “Device Manager”.
If this is the case, there must be some software driver missing. Make sure there are no other devices that have an error. Double check Dell’s website at www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the laptop. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.
