Colored Blotches on an LCD Projection TV are usually caused by defects or marks on filters or lenses in the light engine (or optical block) First confirm that the lamp or main lens is not discolored by removing the lamp (unplug set and let cool before removing!) and inspecting the lamp itself and the lens that it shine onto. The light engine is an expensive part ($600-$1200) to replace and requires major disassembly.
