Magic Sing Heating Up

I changed the adapter of my magic sing into a multivoltage when the original one was broken. It was going well for years without any problem as we rarely used it. After a year of not using it, we tried using it again. Unfortunately, it didn't work. When we connected to the powerpoint, we smelt something burning and the bottom part of the mic was heating up but not that much to start a fire. Not sure if it was turned to a higher voltage which caused it. Is there still any chance for repair?
