Question about Sennheiser SKM100 Wireless Handheld Transmitter SKM135G2B Microphone
Hi. Is it possible / worthwhile to repair an SKM-100 that has a broken power switch?
If you have a G1 SKM100 mic, the small on/off switch is an SKQLLC Tact switch made by ALPS. I don't know what's in a G2 or anything about the ones with the orange button. I just replaced the on/off switch and it took about 20mins. It's a bit fiddly but not too bad so long as you have a reasonably fine-tipped soldering iron. If you're in the USA then it look like there are a number of distributors who will sell one-offs. I'm in the UK and had to go back to the place I originally bought the mic from (DM music), who got it from Sennheiser and then sold it to me. For some reason Sennheiser wouldn't sell it to me direct.
