i took a computer apart after it was beeeping and so i could check the mother board to make sure it was not burnt up and when i put it back togher now the montor and keyboard and mouse will not light up or work
The beeping sound could be a memory or a videocard problem. Make sure the memory is properly inserted or if there are extra slots, you can put the memory there. If you have an external videocard, you can also take that off and transfer to another slot. Make sure all are properly inserted.
If that does not help, please let me know so that I could advice other solutions.
Generally the beeping is coded with long and short beeps to tell you what is wrong. Often it signals a problem with the RAM but you need to look at the mother board manual to find out what it means.
It sounds like it does nothing at all now.
There are many easy mistakes you can make when putting a computer back together. It depends on how far you pulled it apart. Unless you are very observant when dismantling it you may have put a plug back on the wrong way around or something or missed a power cable somewhere. You may have to take it to someone who knows where things go. It does not need to be a shop maybe you have a friend who knows about this stuff. Most of the common components in PC's all have the same rules about how they go together..
On the other hand it may have a broken component the beeps were telling you that after all.
