I tried turning my Philips Flat Tv by pressing the power button on the side and a loud pop-noise went off and the tv havent turned on since, all I see is a red blinking lite in the left bottom side of the t. I'm guessing it was the fuse that might of blown up but I'm not sure.
Unplug your unit for 5 minutes and plug it back in - turn it on - if problem persists then your TV's power supply is finished.
No it is not your circuit breaker or fuse otherwise you would not get ANY power to your outlet and would not see a blinking light. It sounds like a bad power supply.
This is may cost you a lot of money to repair - I hope your TV is under warranty.

I have a Philips Flat Screen Model # 37PF7320A/37 and I am having a problem with the menu screen constantly being displayed onthe screen and cannot be removed. No matter what you do, it pops right back on automatically. When you scroll down and hit the exit button, it goes off and comes back on within seconds. When you turn the tv off and on, the same thing happens. I am unable to use my tv because of this. I constantly press the buttons on the side of the tv to try to get the menu screen to be removed and to no avail. I have been doing all of this manually and without the remote. Please advise as to how I can get this removed and use the tv. Thank you.

Hi, I got a Philips 37 inch LCD model 37PF9431D/37 that shut offs by itself and the power LED blinks red a single time followed by two fast blinks. Problem is similar to the ones described by other people here. Any hints? Do I have a bad power supply? Any idea how I can get a service manual and schematics for this model?
Appreciate any help. Thanks.
