When i press any of the buttons 1 can comes out and all of the red led lights flash until i open the door. After closing the door, i press any of the buttons the same thing happens again. Is this a bad controll board or the small sensor by the flapper where the can comes out? If so where can i get these parts?
When I press the button all of the lights flash and it doesn't dispense. I went thru all kinds of pulling apart etc. and no change.
Then I read that the flapper door switch may be the problem. Then I removed the flapper door switch and tried to clean it with fingernail, etc. It then dispensed one can and I had to open and close the door every time to get a second can, a third can, etc.
Then it went back to square one.. That is no cans. Today I got some electrical spray circuit board clean and sprayed and scrubbed with an old toothbrush. No change. I'm perfectly willing to purchase a new flapper door switch and give it a try if anyone knows where I can,When I press the button all of the lights flash and it doesn't dispense. The learn button is located on the garage door opener unit itself that hangs from the ceiling. If you follow the gray antenna up to the unit you will see a red/orange button on the unit. That is the learn button. When you push that button and amber LED will light up either above or next to the learn button. This indicates that the garage door opener is now ready to learn a new device. Press and hold the button you want programed on the garage door opener remote and release it. The garage door opener will click and the garage door opener light will go off and come back on (if the light bulbs are in working order). The amber LED will go out, repeat if you need to program anything else.
Clear out anything previously
programmed into the in-car system from the factory by holding down
on the 2-outside buttons simultaneously, until the in-car LED starts
flashing rapidly. This may take up to a minute (in most cases, the
key should be on auxilary, and/or the car door must be shut).
Decide which button you want to
make to be your in-car garage door transmitter. Hold your
transmitter up near the selected button, pressing both the garage
door remote and the selected in-car transmitter button
simultaneously. Hold down on the buttons until the in-car, LED light
flashes rapidly. This sets the in-car remote transmitter to be your
garage door openers make transmitter, but you are not done. You now
need to make this in-car transmitter your personal transmitter.
3. Go to the
Learn Button on your garage door opener. The button is usually next
to the area where the floppy antenna is connected to the motor head.
With Genie it is most often behind the light lens, and an indicator
light flashes red when pressed. With Sears or Liftmaster
(Chamberlain) it is near, or part of, the terminal screw board, and
is a red, green or purple square button with a green, amber or
purple indicator light. Press this learn button momentarily. The
indicator light will turn on and blink if Genie or otherwise stay
lit. For Genie systems, go back to the in-car transmitter button you
programmed and press this button 3 or 4 times, or until the door
starts moving. This should set your in-car transmitter to your
garage door opener. For Liftmaster, Sears, or Linear Megacode press
and hold the in-car button you programmed until the garage opener
light flashes. Your in-car is now programmed to operate your door.

You can follow these instructions to change the code of yours. Might work for you.
NOTE: You must
change the
transmitter's code before programming the transmitter to the motor head
unit.
The following steps

This process only works
fro

Homelink Garage Door Opener Programming Procedure:
The procedure described below was successfully applied to a 2005 Jaguar S-Type.
To begin with, several attempts were made using the programming instructions contained in my Jaguar’s owner’s manual.Though the procedure described in the owner’s manual was straight-forward and understandable, I was unsuccessful in getting the vehicle’s remote to make my garage door opener function. The particular garage door openers I have are both made by Genie. Both openers utilize the “Rolling Code” feature.
To begin with, be sure to clear previous codes on your Jaguar’s garage door opener by first turning (rotating) the ignition key to the “I” position (first notch).Next, simultaneously hold button 1 (left most button) and button 3 (right most button) down until the middle button’s red light changes from continuous on to a rapid flash. This process takes approximately 20-25 seconds. What follows is a two part process. In the first part, get your Genie portable remote and hold it near (approximately 3 inches away from) your Jaguar’s garage door opener console buttons.Choose which button on your Jaguar’s remote you wish to dedicate to your Genie door opener and simultaneously press and hold your Genie opener button and your Jaguar’s opener button. The red light on your Jaguar’s center button (button #2) will light up and within 1-2 seconds will begin to flash rapidly. You have just completed part 1 of the two part process.
Part two:Now it is time to utilize the “Learn” function on your Genie garage door opener.Press the “Learn” button on your Genie garage door opener. The red LED adjacent to the “Learn” button will begin to flash. You now have 30 seconds in which to program your Jaguar’s opener button.Using the same button you just used in the “part 1” procedure, press and hold the same button for several seconds. As before, your Jaguar’s red light in the middle button will light up and within 1-2 seconds, it will flash rapidly.Release the button you are programming. Now, here is the key piece of information!Once again, press and hold that same button.Once again, the center button’s red light will flash rapidly.Release your newly programmed button. This procedure proved successful in my application. Here is what has just happened. The first time you pressed your Jaguar’s remote button tells the Genie opener that it exists and that it is a viable candidate for making your life easier (opening the damn door). The second time you press your Jaguar’s remote button confirms to the Genie’s rolling code that your Jaguar’s signal is legitimate and is to be trusted from then on.
No change. I'm perfectly willing to purchase a new flapper door switch and give it a try if anyone knows where I can,
