Re: adjusting volume

Hah! Just discovered this... the glowing blue ring rotates, which will adjust the volume. You'll have to press down a little to get a grip.

The manual doesn't do a very good job explaining it's function.

Re: adjusting volume

There is no long silver button for volume on the 2 gig 250 model. The lock feature is there.

However, there is a setting under Settings-Volume, but to be honest I can't hear a difference between the two given modes, Normal and High.

Volume too low

Chances are there a limit on the volume to keep it from going to loud. If the MP3 has a screen, use it to navigate to a menu and go into it's sound settings. From there, you should be able to raise the max volume to the REAL max.

Adjust the volume while playing by "turning" the thumbwheel. Go clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease.

Volume toggle switch broken

the only way you could try to fix it is if you opened it up and checked it out from the inside.  if nothing wrong inside, then it is something wrong with the motherboard and you will have to buy him a new one. but if you get it open then you can pop the toggle switch into place and it should be fine

Problem with volume in player

Every mp3 player manual has a disclaimer that says not to play it at max volume - the only workaround is to get adjustable headphones, and keep player volume at less than max
