The light engine was replaced on my tv and now the picture alignment is off about two inches to the right. I tried to have the company come back out but they said I waited too long. Is this easy to fix?

Same problem, expanding yellow ring. Called LG this morning, said that they would replace free and would have someone call me to set it up. Stay tuned, but sounds like they plan to take care of it. Anyone else out there had the same experience? Did they call you?

This TV is under a class action lawsuit.
LG has to replace the light engine or the tv if the light engine doesnt work.
They are really good abotu getting the problem solved within 15 days per the settlement.
I had the light engine replaced and it didnt fix the issue so I got a new TV.... LG is going to batt with this........because the Classaction lawsuit or not.... good to do business that way.

If you have a purple/blue trim across the bottom and yellowish at the topit is because there needs to be shims added to properly align a lense in the light path. This is a fairly simple fix and a light engine tech should be able to correct this problem in under 1 hour.

The Purple/blue trim along the bottom is that the light engine needs to have a couple of shims added to align the lense. This is a fairly easy correction and can be done in under an hour by a light engine tech.

This is a common problem that is caused by the filter that goes with the blue LCD. Such filter is part of the light engine, I believe Zenith sells the complete light engine only(around $800), while I don't think the filter cost more than 99 cents to manufacture. If you want to replace the light engine I think matelectronics.com has a good deal on that.

THE screen on my Zenith m52w56lcd tv is dim, has blue cloudiness and yellow spot in the middle. What is wrong?

I
I have the same exact TV, with the same problem!
I found out that Zenith has a class action litigation open thru July 2010
Your Optic Light Engine is Defective and Zenith has to replace it for free
Or give you a new 50" Plasma or 44" LCD.
Here is the link with all the details ** http://www.zenithservice.com/index_b2c.jsp
Call the service center and let them know what your problem is and that you know
about the litigation. They will have a tech call you and troubleshoot it over the phone.
Then they will order the Light Engine and have a Tech come to your house and
replace it. It will cost you nothing!!!

I changed the LCD lamp, but there is still a yellow haze.

The yellow haze is the result of the blue polarizer burnt-in, you will find it sitting in front of the dlp chip.

Zenith 44" LCD TV

The yellow spot is due to the BLUE LCD and/or lens assy cracked, reason, to much HEAT! The blue is the darkest color and hold the most heat, so it goes first, always! In some cases it’s only the lens, however most of the time LCD is damage to. Parts are available, however install and alignment is timely. Quick fix is the complete light engine, which for model# E44W46LCD is part# 3141VSN916C, which customer cost is $1,449.27, wholesale for about $1,065.21. Rebuilt, if you can find it around 850.00 to 950.00. However the rebuilt does not always look as good as factory. My advice, TRASH set. This part will fail again in about 3 to 4 years, unless you watch a lot of white video. Remember, on a black or dark picture, all three LCD are blocking 100% of the light, causing extreme heat within the light engine. It’s a bad design.

Yellow circle

The huge yellow circle is either your blue filter is burnt out (very common in Zenith DLP) or you LCD cube is bad. I would bet it is the blue filter. Zeniths DLPs have 3 color filters one blue (a pinkish color), one green (a grayish brown)and one red (it is red). For the bulb indicator I would check and make sure your lamp is seated to the ballast correctly. Just take it out and put it back in.

Yellow Spot

Sorry that I have to be the one to let you know this but the light engine in your set has a spot that has developed on your lens. It is not possibile to clean this without making your picture worse. The light engine would need to be replaced in your set to fix this and the cost will not be cost effective. Part number is 3141VSN916C and I cant find it at any dealer for less than 1200 dollars.

Zenith color problem

We have seen this several times and the yellow spot is due to a problem in the light engine. Major repair and very expensive. The amber lite is simply the lamp replace indicator. After the lamp is replaced a programmer remote is required to get into the service menu an reset the timer.

Yellow Spot dead center on screen

most likely the yellow dot is due to a burn in the picture on the "green" lens. It's not removable because it's burned it, but you can try cleaning it because sometimes, dots are caused by dirt. The worst that can occur is that if the dot is permanant.
