Di 524 wireless router

Was working fine but yesterday lost connectivity. I have tried to reset to factory configurations and I'm still getting only two green lights. The power source is constant and the WAN is blinking. No status light on.

Re: di 524 wireless router

Hello, I was just wondering if you have tried to plug into your D-link with the cable? If so, does it work then, If so look into your routers wireless settings and make sure your wireless is turned on. Also try rebooting your operating system. I've noticed on my linksys that sometimes I have to reboot my notebooks operating system when It also does not show status light. I sure hope that help you. If not we can also look into it further with a little more information. Thanks Hope it helps

I forgot my parent controls pin

As far as I am aware, the only way to reset the pin, is to reset the router to factory defaults. You will then have to reconfigure your wireless settings. To reset to factory defaults:
Plug in the router.
1. Locate the small reset button. It is next to the power jack.
2. Use something to push the button, a paper clip works well.
3.Hold the reset switch down for 10 seconds.
4. Wait for the WLAN light to stop blinking. The router is now reset.
To reconfigure the settings on the router, enter into your browser address bar.

My DI-524 has suddenly lost all settings and can no longer recognise my IP address etc. When I try and connect I get the message "insecure site", or, enter KEY code to connect. Can anyone help me, please?

am not sure if the communication is from the router. Can you check if you have any firewall enabled. If yes, try to disable the firewall and try again.
if it still doesnt work, try to reset the router and bring it back to factory defaults.
Thanks Ranjit

About a week ago, my internet was working fine with my router. Now, its not. I tried putting my cable from my modem into the WAN socket and it doesnt work

1.Try connecting the PC directly to the modem ( not router ) and see if it helps 2. If it does, try to reset the router once and try configuring again ( reset gets teh product back to factory defaults )
Hope this helps

Slow connections

many routers have problems on firmware upgrades in regards to configuration data. You should try to reset the routher to factory defaults (the firmware upgrade will still be fine) then put in you old configuratin information in for the reset.

Di-524 setup

Reset the DI-524 to its factory default settings and restore the other devices on your network to their default settings. You may do this by pressing the Reset button on the back of the unit. You will lose the current configuration settings. Also be sure to unplug the modem the plug it back in afterwards, a reboot of all devices on network maybe good idea also.
