Freezer coils freeze up then frig warms

I continue to have freezing problems with the freezer, suppose to be a frost free unit. If I thaw freezer everything works fine for about a month and it does it again. Help

Defrost has three parts a heater - adc/control - defrost thermostate...and three can cause a defrost system to stop working...
The problem is probably the defrost heater, that's one of most common parts to go out on these GE's it is a glass tube heater.
If you remove the rear panel in the freezer you will see the heater below the evaporator coils. If it's out it's usually discolored.

Your model does not have a timer, the control board does that

this is more than likely a defrost sensor or timer that is not allowing the fridge to go into a defrost mode.you could also have a problem with the thermastat the allows the fridge to run for longer periods of time.
