On the AT&T 1739 answering machine, press and hold the clock button and then follow the prompts to change the desired information.

There may be a switch for ring selection on the machine itself or the number of rings may be selected during initial setup

HOW DO I CHANGE SPANISH TO ENGLISH ON AT&T 1739 ANSWERING MACHINE?


Press and hold the SETUP button until you hear the first announcement. Press ANNC/SKIP or MEMO/REPEAT to change the language setting. The message window shows the current setting (E for English and S for Spanish).

#1739 answering machine hooked up but keeps asking for "password"


The unit appears to be stuck in "message retrieval mode) and is asking for your password to give you access when you call in(remote answering). Get remote access code from the machine get it by pressing set up button on answering machine. Go to another phone when machine picks up enter access code then enter *7 record new message press 5 when done then to end call enter *9
