Question about Mitsubishi VS-50707 50" Rear Projection Television

No signal on ant-a or ant-b

I can not get a signal when the coax is plugged into Ant-A and/or Ant-B, its just static. I can view cable when I run it through Ant-A through cable loop-out to the vcr and change the input to input-1and change channels with vcr.

Projection TV. DVD works. Cable often seems, "untuned". Static & un-fine-tuned sound of channel with black screen. Then, later, it will come on just fine. Sometimes, will go back to untuned status.

I would suspect your cable box first. I would unplug the power cable from your cable box and wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in and try to watch cable tv. I would also make sure the coaxial cable going from the wall to your cable box is connected properly. I would also make sure the cable going from the cable box to the tv is connected properly. Test your tv and see if it works correctly when you watch cable. If this fixes the issue you are good to go.
  • If this makes no difference use a set of new cables if you have them.
  • If this does not work then call your cable company. They may have to replace your cable box.

Mitsubisho WS-55908: Cable coming in can be plugged into either "ANT-A" or "ANT-B". What happens now is that the signal goes out for a few minutes at a time, usually after I change a channel. This also...

You might have a bad regulator on the signal board or a bad button on the front of the tv. The AV RESET button will make the screen go black and if it is malfunctioning can cause this symptom. Bad solder (cracks) can also cause this. Lastly I have changed a few regulator for different problems. Near the back left side (while behind tv) on a small heatsink. Goodluck.

Can only view 12 channels

Hi ismael
To answer your question;
Connecting to ant.A will do fine.
Go into your menu and look at "ant.A" if it is written"air" you`ll have to switch it to "cable" and then memorize/scan for channels.

If you`d like the owners manual just click HERE

Hope this help and good luck

I have cable and when i plug it into my tv i only

The tv will only process cable channels when set to 'ant cable' . After the scan, you should be able to view all channels provided on the frequency.
If you want more cable #'s, you will have to pay for those or get a cable box. If you don't find your local channels in the lineup, you will have to use a switcher, or hassle with unplugging and plugging the antenna. This is true for ATSC broadcasts. Please give feedback if this helps. Or tell me more.

When I hook up my cable box to ant a or ant b I get static, but when hooked up to inputs 1-3 I receive a good signal.

Call a good TV Tech and tell him your TV's Tuner is not working. He can then give you an accurate estimate to repair by phone. There is likely an open resistor / fuse that is not letting power get to the Tuners. That is a 31 volt DC power line to the Tuners.

You are losing a VERY small amount of signal using the transformer. It won't even be noticeable I'm sure if you switch to the coax in but the fewer connections you go through the less the chance of a bad connection. Use regular " Ant. In " coax connection or " RF in" whichever the wording is on the back of your set. Good Luck!
