Question about Mitsubishi VS-50707 50" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

No signal on ant-a or ant-b

I can not get a signal when the coax is plugged into Ant-A and/or Ant-B, its just static. I can view cable when I run it through Ant-A through cable loop-out to the vcr and change the input to input-1and change channels with vcr.

Having trouble hooking up vcr

I've never seen a VCR use anything other than Composite, S-video or RF analog outputs. That's because VHS uses the NTSC or PAL analog video standards. (In the US, it is NTSC; in Europe PAL is the old standard.)

To use the Composite output, get a triple RCA cable (red, white and yellow connectors). Connect one end of the cable to Video Out (yellow), Audio Out right (red) and Audio Out (white) on the VCR. The other end of the cable goes to the corresponding Composite Video In jack and the adjacent Audio In jacks on the TV. If you are using S-video, (both units must have S-video jacks), the S-video cable replaces the Composite section of the triple cable, so you only need an audio patch cable (two RCA plugs on each end). Be sure to use the audio input corresponding to the S-video input. Note: S-video is generally better quality than composite, although HD digital is still superior.

If you wish to record from the TV, the TV must have a composite video or S-video output. This is not very common. If you wish to record programs from an RF source (cable or antenna), see the next paragraph.

In the days before digital, a typical connection scheme was to run the cable or antenna RF source to the ANT IN coax connector on the VCR, then run a short coax cable from ANT OUT to ANT IN on the back of the TV. This may not work with a digital source. Pre-HD VCR tuners would not be HD compatible, and may even filter out the digital signal in bypass mode (VCR off). You would need an HD to analog converter box at the VCR input to retain this setup. I have no information on your TV's support for NTSC video through the tuner (especially since you did not mention the model : /).

How do i use the ant. passthrough on tv2 in dual mode w/ dish dvr625

ANT. passthrough for an ant. connected to your 625 receiver will only work on tv 1. The only way to do this is to RF modulate your tv 2 coax to an RCA and hook the RcA cable to your tv2. then use another ant. to connect coax allowing you to pick up dish programing on an input and then going to the channels to enjoy local over the air programming.

How to connect an dvd to old tv

they make a small box called an RF modulator. It takes the audio/video signals and turns them into a signal the coax can read. You can pick one up at electronic stores. There usually about 15-25 $.

I have a Motorola Quasar TV and an outside UHF Antennae. I have coax coming from Ant. There are 3 coax connectors on the back and one pair of screw terminals for 300 ohm flat lead in cable that is...

You are losing a VERY small amount of signal using the transformer. It won't even be noticeable I'm sure if you switch to the coax in but the fewer connections you go through the less the chance of a bad connection. Use regular " Ant. In " coax connection or " RF in" whichever the wording is on the back of your set. Good Luck!

No Signal

I connected the cable to Ant-A, then connected a short cable from the out loop to Ant-B. Works fine. Didn't have a manual, had no idea.

My ilo has the built in atsc tuner

Try plugging in a powered antenna.
The DTV coax input is for over-the-air HDTV transmissions which vary depending on your location and surrounding buildings.  I have the LCT32HA36 hooked up to a powered antenna and it works fine, but it wouldn't work when I plugged in the cable from the wall.

EWF TV ANT IN BOKEN

ANGLS186-YES YOU CAN RESOLDER THE ANT. IN COAX CONECTION BUT KNOW YOU MUST FIRST SOLDER THE CENTER WIRE OF COAX TO TUNER BD. THEN CAREFULLY INSERT COAX BACK INTO ORIGINAL POSITION.THE EASIER SOLUTION IS TO USE A VCR OR CABLE BOX HOOKED TO YOUR SETS' VIDEO IN PORT AND CHANGE CANNELS W.THAT COMPONENT.JOE TV
