Re: sony tv color screwed

Did you try any adjustments on your own? It looks like the Blue output Gun is not working. Most likely the Blue Output Transistor is blown. Nothing you can do, unless you know Solid State Electronic. I advice that you seek professional help.

Why is the tv picture red?

Video output section circuit fault. This fault can be caused by many reasons, and called technically 'one color predominant screen'. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".
Mainly, loose solder terminals at the video output card can cause this. You have to look for it first. This car can be located at the neck of the CRT, will directly plugged to its back. Reasons for this can be read in detail by the above linked site. Surf it with type in "one color predominant screen"

Picture has red tint

I would unplug it from the wall for a while and see if that will help reset it. Also make sure there are no magnetic devices near the screen because this will change the screen color as well. Mine will mess up every once in a while so I just unplug it while I am off running errands, plug it back up when I come home and it seems to reset itself. Good luck

Sony Wega model kv-32fs120. Color is all reds and blues, no greens or yellows. We have tried adjusting the hue as per the owner's manual and also the re-set but nothing changes.

The color of the television are compose of three color RED,GREEN and BLUE.So the lost color is the green. The problem is in the color section of the CRT board in the chroma section and in the CRT socket board.Maybe theres a loose connection in the PCB like the cathode output transistor.

Lower the contrast first.

If colors not in balance, reduce saturation until "normal" to your eye with whichever color (or color pair) out of balance.

Try restoring all factory settings. On your remote, press the reset button twice. If that doesn't correct it, then you'll probably need a repair technician. For more info, consult your owners manual, which is also available at
