The DNS addresses are generally provided by your internet service provider (ISP) for your use. Can you identify your internet service providers web site link or his name and possibly your location in terms of city and state? WIth that information I should be able to access his support site and find the DNS addresses for you.

Linksys router problem

This sounds like a route problem. This can happen if the settings to the WAN are correct. If you are using a dialup DSL router check to make sure that it is connecting to your ISP. Same for a cable modem. Once you have verified that it is connected properly then set your WLAN gateway to point to the WAN IP number. if you are using DHCP for IP addressing for your wireless devices make sure that the gateway address is set correct also. Check DNS settings sometimes the ISP's DNS servers are not setup correctly or are not stable try using googles free DNS numbers of or

How do i get my dns numbers from my isp provider, and what is a isp provider.

Best bet is to open up your browser and type in
this will give you your ip address from your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)
If You need some DNS numbers (Domain Name Server), I use open DNS. they are pretty good at keeping out dodgy or rogue sites. Web sites have actual numbers for their address, not names. When you type in, the computer goes to the DNS server to look up the name and get the number (IP address) just like looking up a phone book.
If you choose to use Open DNS as the look up server. use these numbers in your settings.
If you need to put in a gateway (like a front door to go out to the net) you will need to go into your router or modem settings to find this number, Or just call your ISP to get the information. You will need your email username & password before you ring
Good Luck

Problem with wireless connection. Our router is hooked up to the pc in the living room but having trouble connecting my iBook G4 to the router using the wireless Airport in my Mac.It always connects to...

Sounds like you need to enter the ISP's DNS server number into the airport settings.
Maybe you do not have it set to acquire addresses automatically? Auto is usually painless.
You should be able to find it in the router settings.
Just write down the DNS number and put it into Airport.
Also check that you have the Gateway set correctly, it could be the IP address of the router or the modem, depends on your configuration.

Getting on line

If you are connecting through your wireless router, you should just let it auto obtain an ip address and auto obtain dns. Is DHCP on in your wireless router?
DNS is the ip address of a server that resolves names like www.something into an ip address. Your ISP usually gives you these numbers.
