The problem I have is this, The power button and play list button are in the wrong places.. like, someone opened it and put it together wrong. I want to see if I can fix it. But, I can't find a THING on how to open it.. And I don't want to kill the body of it while opening it..
Re: Used Hdd1630.. I need to know how to open it..
This best thing to do is contact Philips using the USA number (1-888-744-5477). Explain to them what has happend and they should send you another one, or you can just remember that they are in opposite places and use it that way.

I would recommend you to get the firmware upgrade on the device..that usually happens when your device firmware is corrupted...If after you done a firmware upgrade your device doenst work properly contact the manufacturer...
Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution. 1) Back up all files on the GoGear 2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) 3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button 4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard). -Tha Mp3 Doctor
Mine did the same thing. The hdd1630 seems to let some of the songs you don't want any more snake their way back into your playing list. You might want to try deleting all the songs off or it and re-syncing the player. This works for me about 98% of the time. Though, one or two ghost songs did pop up.. Any way, I hope this helps.
