I don't have this model but I have had two Siemens phone systems. Typically, when the handset says "Searching" it is trying to connect to the base station (the part actually connected to the phone line). This can happen if the handset is too far from the base station to connect to it wirelessly. It can also happen if the handset has become unregistered from the base station (or was never registered to begin with). If the distance issue is not the problem, look in your documentation for how to register the handset and give that a try.
First thing you must do, is clear the base memory of the phones.
To deregister all handsets:
Select MENU on the base, scroll to SETUP BASE,
then select OK.
Scroll to DEREGISTER ALL and then select SET. Thebase will display DO YOU WANT TO DEREGISTER ALL HANDSETS?
Select YES. All handsets are deregistered and are unusable until each has been re-registered
During registration, you must enter the 15-digit ID number of the telephone base. To find this number, go to the base, select MENU, scroll down to DISPLAY BASE ID, then select OK
On handset: 1 - "Menu", 2 - "System" (scroll using up and down then press "OK" to choose), 3 - "Register" (scroll using up and down then press "OK" to choose), 4 - "1" (use number keypad), 5 - "0000" (use number keypad again - or handset PIN if pin has been changed) Now on base unit: 1 - press and hold down "Page" until it beeps Hope that helps
Press down key until the handset menu appears and press "INT/OK" key Press up or down arrow key to select the submenu "Resgister" and press "INT/OK" key Handset display shows "SEARCHING". Press and hold "page" key on the base station more than 4 seconds until acknowledgment signal is heard Enter the PIN (default setting = 0000) and press "INT/OK" key on the Handset If the input PIN is correct the registration procedure will be completed with a confirm tone. After a connection is established the name and number of the handset appear in the display
Note : The base will be ready for registration for 10 minutes when the page key is pressed and held for more than 4 seconds.
Please let me know how these phones have performed, are you happy with them. Thanks
