i have a handycam sony DCR-DVD605 and will not charge any of my batteries. i being an electrician, i have tested the charger and it seems to be working perfect. what else can it be?
Hi, Just wanted to know how old your unit is. The original Sony batteries usually last a long time. I also had a similar problem, none of these batteries last 1000 charges. Batteries are cheap now . I just purchased a new battery for my old sony and it was $18 and it is a higher capacity. You can even find them combined with a new charge for about $35. You should also try to keep the new batteries charged . I fully charge them and then remove them from the recorder. If there is any drain on them and it is left uncharged for a long period you will kill the battery. I have a garage full of battery operated toys that worked fine when they were put away and now are shot. They should be stored just like they do at the store when you got them , disconnected and fully charged. Hope this helps
