Try to retrieve the files from the memory into your computer, if you can't see the pictures after they are moved, they might have been corrupted while you were using the camera.
In theory, you might have placed the camera near a strong magnetic field, like a speaker. This could explain the files being corrupted if that's the problem you have.

My Canon PowerShot SD880 IS has a black display screen. I cannot take pics now with the black screen, but the display DOES work for pics taken before the screen went black. Please help!

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. I found one posting elsewhere that said that this was a "common" problem. That person's camera was under warranty. Mine isn't, but it's less than 2 years old.

Won't take pictures, blank screen on lcd and can't seem to see old pics from memory card, setting displays can be seen on lcd and shutters click when you take a pic but nothing can be seen when on view

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Applicable cameras include: A40, A60, A70, A75, A80, A85, A95, A300, A310, S1 IS, S60, S200, S230, S330, S400, S410, S500, SD100, SD110, IXUS V2/V3/300/400/430/500/II/IIs, IXY Digital 200a/300a/320/400/450/500/30/30a

Left hand buttons don't work. They act like a half-pressed shutter button. IE: they focus and usually pop the flash. The camera takes pics fine, the two button reset and the tiny pinhole reset on the side...

You did what I would suggest to do the resets. I realize this is an old question, 1 year ago, but, if you have not found a solution my suggestion is to contact Nikon. The D80 is a fine camera.
