Our hp 2650 when boots up all the grn and org lights continually stay flashing what could be wrong, although 1 port doesn't flash and works

It could be a Failure on those Flashing Ports, try to console in to the Switch and access the event log to verify that. try the troubleshooting part of the manual at this link, see if it helps:

My printer shows ''User intervension required'' other than ''Ready''

The issue may be resolved by clearing the pause printing in the printer driver or by setting up a parallel connection with the computer. Clear pause printing
  1. From the Windows Desktop, select Start , Settings , and Printers .
  2. Right-click the HP LaserJet printer icon that is being used.
  3. Select the Work Offline or Pause Printing option (if enabled) to remove the check.
  4. Print the document again.
Establish parallel connection
  1. Turn off the printer or remove the printer from the network.
  2. Connect the printer to the PC using a parallel cable.
  3. Power on the printer.
  4. Print the document again. NOTE: If the User Intervention Required message reappears, disable or remove any HP LaserJet software utilities loaded on the system (for example, Status Window, HP Toolbox, etc.). Prove printer functionality and troubleshoot communications; try printing again.
Uninstall and reinstall the driver After performing a cold reset on a product installed with USB, a higher DOT4_00x port is created, causing the printer to hang while printing. NOTE: This is required with products installed on a USB port only.
  1. Uninstall the USB printer driver.
  2. Remove the HP folder and AIO folder from the hard drive.
  3. Reinstall the USB printer driver.
CAUSE: This error can occur if when using a network or printing from a laptop. When the print job goes into a pending status, the printer is either in Work Offline or Pause Printing mode. Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Have a good day.

Slow internet problem i think its my communications card

This document is GENERIC for all types of PC using XP or before. Step 1: Detecting and removing spyware and adware software If the computer becomes slow when connecting to the Internet, your home page changes to a page you do not want, unwanted desktop links display, or advertising windows pop up repeatedly, then your computer probably has spyware, or adware installed. Spyware and adware can be difficult to remove manually. See the following HP support document for more information about spyware and how to remove it from your computer: HP and Compaq PCs - About Spyware, Adware, and Browser Hijacking Software . Step 2: Scan and remove viruses It might be that a virus or several viruses are attempting to use the Internet connection when the browser is open. See the following HP support document for more information about how to scan and remove viruses: Resolving and Preventing Viruses on Your Computer . NOTE: If you have not updated Windows recently using Windows Update (in English), now is a good time; after scanning and removing spyware and viruses . Step 3: Clearing history, temporary files, and resetting settings Clear the amount of temporary files that the browser uses as follows:
  1. Open the browser software.
  2. Click Tools from the menu bar.
  3. Select Internet Options . The Internet Options window displays. Figure 1: Internet Options windowc00162617.jpg
  4. Click the General tab.
  5. In the Temporary Internet Files area, click Delete Files .
  6. Select Delete all offline content , and click OK .
  7. In the History area, click Clear History , and click OK .
  8. Click the Security tab, and select Default Level .
  9. Click the Content tab, and click Clear SSL State .
  10. Click the Programs tab, and click Reset Web Settings .
  11. Click the Advanced tab, click Restore Defaults , and then click OK .
  12. Connect to the Internet. If the computer stops responding, continue to next step.
Step 4: Update the network or modem drivers Updating the network and modem drivers can fix some lockup problems. Install the latest update for your network hardware that you use. Update the network hardware if you connect to the Internet using DSL, Cable, or LAN. Update the modem software if you connect using dial-up.
  1. Go to the HP Software download page . Select your country/region.
  2. Type the model name for your HP or Compaq computer. For example, SR1820NX or m7434n.
  3. Select the version of Windows the computer is using.
  4. Select the network or modem driver update. For example, Realtek RTL8139 LAN Driver Update.
  5. Follow the instruction on the download page to download and install the update.
  6. When done, restart and try to connect to the Internet again. If the problem persists, continue to the next Step.
Step 5: Disabling Software that opens with Windows For troubleshooting purposes, reduce the amount of software that opens with Windows to try and find out if a software conflict is occurring. Open the Microsoft System Configuration software (Msconfig), remove the selection next to Load Startup Items , click OK , and restart the computer. For more information, see Preventing Programs from Opening When Windows Starts . Connect to the Internet. If the computer stops responding, continue to next step. Step 6: Removing and reinstalling ISP and Anti-virus software Remove the Internet Service Provider (ISP) software and install the latest version. Use the document on Advanced Modem Troubleshooting for more information about how to remove and reinstall the ISP software. Regards, Shrey

  • Step 1 Delete duplicate or unneeded files. The operating system of a computer uses the hard drivemag-glass_10x10.gif as temporary storage as it performs tasks. This is called the page file, and the more space the operating system has to use as the page file, the faster it can perform. By removing old programs and old or unwanted files, you give the operating system a chance to run faster.
  • Step 2 Defragment your hard drive. When you save files to your hard drive, they are not all stored in the same place. Instead, they are stored all over the hard drive in file fragments. This means that, when you go to access that file on your computer, the operating systemmag-glass_10x10.gif has to look all over the hard drive for all the fragments of that file. Defragmentation is a process that takes all of the fragments of those files and moves them around on the hard drive to put them all in the same place. This means that files are no longer scattered on the hard drive and are much easier to locate, making them much faster to access. To defragment your hard drive, go to your "Start" menu, then "All Programs," then "Accessories," then "System Tools," then "Disk Defragmentor." Then click your hard drive and click "Defragment." Do this before you go to bed, as it may take a few hours if it has not been done recently.
  • Step 3 Use antivirus and spyware scanners. Viruses and spyware can slow down a computer by running processes in the background and using up system resources. Having an antivirus program can prevent these types of malicious software from getting onto your computer in the first place. Scanning with a spyware scanner can eliminate software that was installed secretly with other programs. AVG antivirus and Avast antivirus are both popular, well-reviewed antivirus programs that can be downloaded for free for home use. Ad-aware is a likewise popular and well-reviewed spyware removal program that is also available for free. (See Resources.)
  • Step 4 Get more RAM. RAM stands for "random access memory"--the memory available for programs to use. The more of this you have, the faster programs can run, and the more programs can be run at the same time. RAM is a series of chips that have been manufactured together in a thin stick. Sticks of RAM are located on the motherboard in slots and are easy to replace, upgrade or add to. Since installing RAM only involves snapping a stick into a slot, and since it gives a boost to everything you can do on your computer, upgrading your RAM is widely considered the easiest and cheapest thing you can do to make your computer run faster. Also, if you don't feel comfortable installing something in your computer yourself, most vendors will offer to install it for you for a small fee
