Flash Card: R4i-SDHC Upgrade from http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/ My DSi has the version 1.3E Once I boot my DSi and I want to boot my R4i it says: An error has occurred, please turn the system off, bla bla.. I looked in the DSi Book to find out the prob, but it wasn't described in there, or I couldn't find, but I looked for like 30 mins.. Anyways, it does work on my normal DS and it all started after I updated my DSi, but it's still 1.3E, I FAT32 formatted my SD-card and my DSi memory, but I still get this error.. http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/ has a new card now, specially made for the DSi 1.4 and they also say that they're working on an update, which might take some time.. but since my DSi is still 1.3E, would something else be the cause? Thanks in advance!

Hello DSi Gamer,

For any errors having to do with a R4 card, never look in the manual, all those error codes have other problems that a manual would even know how to handle. If you own a real R4i SDHC, then it should work fine on the DSi v1.4u. I'd update everything including your DSi, it should be safe now, as well as get the latest R4 SDHC softwarre on a freshly formatted micro sd card.

I bet that'll fix all your problems.

If you suspect that you have unstable fake clone version you can get a genuine card there too. http://www.dscardworld.com I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it. They test each card before sending them. US based support and shipping I believe.

Best of luck!

I upgrade my dsi to 1.4.1 and i cant plsy my r4i somebody help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on the version of your r4i card, download the latest firmware here (http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp) and install it over the existing files. This should allow you to run it on the newest dsi firmware. In the future, do not upgrade your dsi unless you are absolutely sure that your r4i will continue to function.

My Dsi does not pick up the R4i card. the message it displays is "no card". please help

Make sure when you are installing the software to the R4i Card you format it first. If you don't format it to the correct format type then it can cause the following; Unable to start, Freezing, corrupt files.

Goto the R4i's Manufacturer's website and get the latest version and also look for a 'How-To'. Also make sure you card is compatible with DSi XL and not just DSi.

System date error\r\n

Hi,

This kind of error is caused by a software incompatibility to continue to function when the dates on the Nintendo DS/DSi were set differently than the files on the Micro-SD card. This problem could have arisen when a user transferred a .SAV file from a DS with a different date, or the DS ran out of battery. In most cases, setting the date back a few days temporarily will solve the problem and in some cases up to a month was required!.The software from NDS-Gear, which can be downloaded in R4i Software Downloads page, is a permanent fix to the issue for the R4i SDHC card!
This software will NOT work for FAKE R4i SDHC cards (i.e. the ones from r4isdhc.com as opposed to r4i-sdhc.com).

Thank you !!

My r4i wont work since I updated my dsi

It's because the newest firmware blocks the R4i card, next time use google a bit more before you do a firmware update, you need to buy the
newest R4i card, the newest moddel of that flash card works again with the newest firmware.

Tip: Buy the Hyper-R4i card instead of the R4i because the hyper-r4i has
a reprogammable chip, you don't have to buy every time a new flash card, you just have to update the chip on the flashcard to bypass anny protection.

Me to but i found out that the new 1.4E dsi update is blocking it

Curently the R4i Team has released a new flash adapter called Hyper-R4i,
this adapter has a re programmable dual core on board.

The R4i Team brought a new firmware out for the Hyper-R4i that works around the latest firmware of the Nintendo DSi v1.4 all regions.
