Re: Pioneer dics changer pd-f100

I'm not sure about your model, but most CD changers have to have a "head" unit (reciever) that mounts in the dash and does all the controlling through a very long cable about as big around as your little finger that plugs into the head unit on one end and the changer at the other end. Usually there is more than one model of head unit that will fill the bill. You might go online at the Pioneer web site and download the user manual for your unit and see what head units will work with it. Good luck.

Pioneer PD-M551 cd changer won't play cds 2 thru 6.

Thank you, Mark Z! My Pioneer PD-M551 would just stop reading the CD, usually near the end of the 4th or 5th disk, and then sometimes it wouldn't read any disks or maybe only the first one or two. I observed that the white ribbon cable was most contorted near near the end of the 4th through 6th disk (also discovered the disks are read proceeding from the center outward, unlike vinyl records). I unfolded the ribbon, massaged it and left it loose and unfolded and that fixed it (at least, temporarily). The PNP-1343 ribbon cable from Pioneer costs $11 but with shipping and handling it is over $30 so I haven't bought it yet.

I have a Pioneer Elite PD-F100 100 disc cd changer I just bought off E-bay. It loads every disc ok, then it will not spin or recognize any disc. It just says ''No'' and then returns the disc and moves on...

Try cleaning the laser lens assembly. Also see if disc tries to spin and you may want to nudge it to start,if that dont work you more likely have a defective laser assy.

After 16 months our PD-D2610 CD changer has started misbehaving. Some of the 5 positions work fine but positions 1 & 4 almost never work.

I read enough comments from unhappy TEAC owners with similar problems to learn that the drive motor is to blame and that repair sounds like sending good money after bad. I'm going to buy a Sony changer.

Some one is selling me Pioneer PD-F100 Compact Disc Player for $30 bucks,Can some one help on this, does the price okay,I would like to know if this player is a good machine to buy........ Thanks for any...

Hi Danny,

30 bucks for a 100 CD changer? Not too shabby. Even if it is about 13 years old, it's a Pioneer.

A few things to check. First, make sure you get the remote too. There are a few functions that are only accessible through it.

Make sure it can register, read/play and restore CD's from both ends of the carrier. Pick a few at random in the middle too.

Bring some head phones in case theres nothing to plug it into. You know, make sure it works.

Other than that, good find.

Have fun with your new Jukebox

But it sound

Pioneer elite pd-f27 300+1 cd changer

I've owned two of these players, one currently, and both exhibit this behavior. Although frustrating, it seems to be inherent in the vertical loading mechanism. Every finicky CD I pull out of the PD-F27 plays perfectly in my single-loading tray player, including CD-Rs. One would expect more of an "Elite" product, but there you are.
