We couldn't figure out where the water was coming from at first, we had been using a bucket instead of the one provided.
Make sure the hose is clamped on tightly and not split, cracked or chiped. Meaning remove it and inspect every milimeter of it in good light if it is bad anywere cut off the bad end or replace entirely.
If split on end of hose just cut off the part that is bad, not more then you need too. Then reattach the hose tightly..
IF leaking from the plug use a little bit of silicon rubber sealent from autoparts or hardware store. use spareingly around plug after plug is removed reinsert the plug.
Hey friend, thanks for your post!
It sounds like your dehumidifier needs to be professionally cleaned. What could be causing the problem is a buildup on the inside of your dehumidifier where the water drains out and it is causing the water to not drain properly. Additionally, I would check to verify that the drain hole is tightly secured with the plug. I know you stated that the bucket is not leaking but have you removed it to verify? Please comment back if further assist is needed. -Matt
Hi,
There
are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.
Here
is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going
wrong with their dehumidifier
