If it's a builtin webcam, you can probably download drivers from the Acer site. If it is in warranty, you can probably get a technician to walk you through the procedure over the phone.
If it didn't come with the unit, the best thing to do is to look at "Programs" under the Control Panel and delete (uninstall) everything having to do with the webcam. Then start from scratch, installing it as if it were new. If you don't have the original CD, you may be able to download the equivalent from the manufacturer of the webcam. (For instance, I did that with an older Logitech model recently.)
In any event, if you have valuable photos and footage that you want to save, make a copy of them in a safe place. It's easy for things like that to get accidentally deleted if they are in or close to the directories that contain the webcam programs (as is sometimes the case).
