The Touchscreen lights up but won't obey the

I live in Canberra, the Federal Capital of Australia. I bought a   Maytag Neptune in 2005, 21st of November from a very reputable Department Store, David Jones, in Canberra. I have lived in America over the years on and off and have all ways appreciated your excellent White Goods, and so I was confident that I had chosen well. It was very expensive by   A week or so ago the Touchscreen started to disfunction. The Touchscreen lite up when electricity was switched on but the key pads would't obey the commands to Start/Pause Off,Help, Home,Favourites,Back. But would obey' change your selection' in fabric/cotton selection. Model Number:  MAH 7550 AGW Serial Number:  23319337 AV Date Bought:    21/11/2005  Where:             David Jones                         Canberra City Store                        Canberra 2600                        A.C.T. Cost in Australian Dollars: $2339.10 Installers were men from Mayner and Cochrane in Canberra. These 2 men had never installed a Maytag before.
