When I power my Denon AVR-3311ci on, it only comes on for a second then shuts off completely. No blinking red light and nothing on the display. I can hear a relay on the power board clicking. Any ideas?...

There's an electrical problem! The unit shuts off to protect itself. the relay sound is normal and is part of the power supply - good quality amps have them. I suggest taking it to your local repair shop.

Denon avr-1513 shutting off and blinking red light

Sounds like you could have a bad speaker connection. Try disconnecting the speakers and see if it stays on. If so, connect one at at a time until it goes off to determine which one.

Only red light is blinking on my denon avr 1508

It sounds like you overloaded the Denon avr with too much resistence from the speakers. Please check the total resistence of the speakers before you connect them all. Also check that the speakers or their wires are not shorted!

Red power light blinking on my denon avr 1907, tried reset procedure, no speakers hooked up now and it still goes from green light to blinking red light and shuts off...Any clues?

This is a protection mode. The receiver protection circuit detects an internal problem like missing power supply voltage or blown channel and shuts down the receiver. You need to bring the unit to a repair facility.

My avr-688 will shut off out of the blue and will flash a red blinking light

It sounds like it might be the overheat protection problem described in this thread. http://www.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=622921&thid=3736114 Your amp has a thermal protection circuit which shuts down the receiver to prevent damage from overheating. Most often this is due to using speakers with an incorrect ohm rating, such as using 4 ohm speakers in a system designed for 6 ohm . It can also occur from using 6 ohm speakers in both the A and B front channels at the same time. If you have speakers attached to both the A and B try removing one set and check if this makes the system stable.

Shuts off then red light indicator flashes, disconnected all speakers but still wont work

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.

Playstation3 and Denon AVR-1804

If you don't have a user guide, go to:
usa.denon.com From there, you can click on Support and search for archived info...you will find a pdf there.

Of your five plugs, a red and white next to each other will plug in to the audio in on your denon (Red is for Right) I would use something like the VCR-3 pair on the left side of the rear panel. The other three, Red Green and Blue are for Video Component In on the denon; Use either Video-1 or Video-2 in the component section on the right half of the rear panel.

At his point, it will be best to look at the manual, because you will have to pair the two items together in the menu system. It takes a little patience but isn't too hard.

Good luck.
