You have to get a 3 phase circuit put in. Call an electrician. Some electricians may not even know how to do 3 phase power though. Call around.

Gonna be an expensive little endevor. Gotta use a rotophase to adapt 3 phase to single phase. Need a qualified electrician to do this. Better check with an electrician if this is feasable to do.

If it is in a residence most residences don't have access to 3 phase power. Once again it is an electricians job...

Single phase or 3 phase

Hmmm. Good question. Like anything, it varies depending on how the equipment is going to be used and in what environment. We could really get into the weeds, but let's just ask the couple of key questions.

1. Is this a commercial or residential environment?
2. What's the horsepower of the motor(s) in use?
3. What's the availability of 3 phase power?

1. If your saw is in daily, commercial use, then 3 phase may offer some distinct advantages: While it's expensive to convert (assuming you don't already have 3 phase available) it allows for smaller, less expensive wiring, and lower voltages making it safer and less expensive to run.

Single phase, otoh, is much more available, and runs motors up to 5hp with little difficulty. It does actually cost more to run a lot of single phase equipment so if cost is an issue and you have quite a few motors, this may be a large determining factor.

2. As I mentioned, if you're only running one or a couple smaller motors, up to 5hp, single phase should work just fine. I have several pieces of machinery with 5 hp motors them on single phase 220 and they perform great. I don't recommend 110vAC for motors under significant load. They run too hot and are not all that efficient, as well as under-powered.

3. Installing a 3 phase electrical system can be very expensive. I would look into this carefully, get a few estimates before moving ahead. You'll need to find out if it's even available, cost of transformers for 110 in the building as well as whether they'll charge you commercial rates for your electricity once it's installed.

There is no simple answer for this question, I fear. There are simply too many factors to consider.

This is the short answer. A simple web inquiry will give you more answers than you actually need.

Good luck.

Electric Phases for Hobart Oven

you must understand this : your electric oven must be indicate if it is a single phase( use 3 wires for 230 2 hot wires + 1 Neutral see the diagram like dryer? you must sure about this. Normally any appliance for home are single phase NOT 3 phase.

2) If you electric oven, say 3 PHASES( use 4 WIRES, 3 hot wires+1 Neutral wires) this for industrial application +comercial 270266c5-a0ad-44dc-9f40-e963255d47f5.jpgNOT for home

However if you system is 3 phase you must need to install 3phase transformer.ba1c9d4d-85e3-4744-8ce5-2f25c6e34ad3.jpg

Hi robles212
To convert your T-30 to single phase you will have to do one of two things.
1. Change the motor to a single phase motor
2. Buy and install a "Phase Converter" to convert 3 phase to single phase

Have a 3 phase compressor model vr5-8 want to know if it can be converted to single phase 230 volt and how

A 3phase motor cannot be rewired to run on single phase power. You need a phase converter. A 3-phase motor will only run on 3-phase power, and a phase converter will convert single phase power to 3 phase. Just google phase converter. There are two basic types, electronic and rotary. The rotary type are more powerful and efficient, but lot's more expensive than the electronic ones. Your only other option is to replace the motor with a single phase motor. Good luck.

Can I change model 754 machine from three phase to single phase by just replaceing the three phase motors with single phase motors?

no you cannot. The cost to replace the dasher motor and compressor would be extreme. In addition, you would need to convert the controls from 3 phase controls over to single phase controls.

Those machines are designed for 3 phase power. If you could get the same components in a single phase version, you would spend more money economically than its worth.

Take the money you would spend converting and purchase a single phase countertop unit. They are made.

Need to convert 3 phase Hobart dishwasher to single phase

It will not be inexpensive to convert your dishmachine over to three phase. With everything that you will need to replace, depending on the model if converyor or not it may run close to what it costs to have 3phase run to the building that you plan to move into.

Switching phase on products are usually up to UL. You need a good tech and it can be done. If it is marked 3 phase and you make a single, the responsibility falls on the person that did the conversion. Components should be similar from 3 phase to single, just use OEM parts!

Carrier multi hi wall split a/c

I don't have a diagram, but maybe I can help you. You have 2 compressors, o.k. 2 stage system. A single phase contactor? do you mean a single pole, one side breaks, the other is always hot? Speaking of phases, is this a commercial unit with 3 phase? Also, Each compressor needs a separate contactor to carry the load. What is the question?
