Question about Maxtor OneTouch III Mini Edition 120GB External USB 2.0 Portable 120 GB IDE Hard Drive
I have a Maxtor 120 GB hard drive that started just starts making a three beep by smash (short) sound. I can turn it off and it stops. I don't think my computer is recognizing it either. The light is on in the front and the USB connection was checked and is fine. Is this something that can be fixed or is the hard drive telling me something like it is dying. Leslie G. The drive is dying. If it is still under warranty, call Maxtor for a replacement.
