It was working fine and then my husband accidently sawed the propane pipe outside when building a deck. The range was set up so that one oven light was the only light that stayed on continuously. We needed matches to light the stove top which was fine with me. The strange thing is that after the pipe was repaired, the stove top continued to work with a match but the oven pilot light never came back on. Of course, we tried to light it, but no gas seems to be coming to the oven pilot?????? Help
I have a clare jewel range but I can not figure out how to light the oven. The top elements work fine with each side having it's own pilot light. There is a spot on the "floor" of the oven that says "light here", but there is no propane coming to this point. I'm wondering if there is a valve which needs to be opened. I have looked but can't find one, but I can not see directly inside the back (as it is too close to the wall) and I'm wondering if there might be a valve back there. The only other thing I can think of is that there is a clogged propane line. There is no odor escaping so I'm sure there is no gas going it. I would love to get this oven going as it is otherwise is very good working condition.
I am on a remote cattle station working as a cook. The Garland (6 stove top burner) oven I'm working with, is working fine except I can't re-light the pilot after we swapped gas ottles over. All else is working, however it appears there is no gas even going to the pilot when I try to re-light it. It was working fine previously.
you must push and hold the button on the bottom fo the safety valve until the thermocouple is warm enough to keep the safety valve open. @ 25 - 30 seconds
