Hi i have a macbook air and i dont know hoe to transfer music files to my sony walkman nw-e507

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time you are viewing this. I have the cause to your problem, but you won't like the outcome of it. In order to make music transactions from your PC to your Sony Walkman NW-E507, "SonicStage" software must be installed on your computer. Unfortunately, this software is not supported by any Macintosh OSs. You have a Macbook air computer, which means it won't work properly on your computer. The software is only supported by Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 & 2005, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows Millennium Edition and Windows 98 Second Edition. It doesn't even support Windows Vista or Windows 7. The only solution to give you here is to either find another MP3 player that supports Mac OSs or get a another laptop that supports those Windows OSs listed above. I'm so sorry for my incovienient solution, but it had to be brought to attention so you will know. Sorry for the incovienience and thank you for taking the time to view my solution and choosing FixYa as your one-stop place to find solutions to your problems. Have a nice day, afternoon or night.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. All you have to do is install this VM software on your MAC and you will be able to run any windows applications on your MAC. This other guy apparently does not know what he is doing. The software is only 79 dollars and you can download it and start using it immediately. Here is the link:

It should bring you right to the site when you click on it but sometimes it does not work. If not simply cut and paste it into the address bar on your browser and hit enter. This is the best Virtual Machine software out there. You do not even have to reboot your computer. It will be like having a windows and a MAC machine at the same time, 2 Laptops in 1 ! The best of both worlds, well worth the investment. I hope you find this information helpful, If you do please take the time to rate it Fixya for me because this will definately Fix this problem and any other problem you will run into when you need to run a windows application. If you need any further help feel free to conact me at I will help you if you need any further assistance with this. It was a pleasure helping you, Enjoy the new world of windows capability,

Its actually an rca opal M4008

myspacepepe this just worked for me. Try downloading the firmware here:

Then read this solution another user posted. Hopefully this helps you. I had the same issue.

I had this problem. Backing up data wasn't a concern though, as I hadn't anything on the OPAL yet.
First I let the OPAL charge up for 3 hours. Then I made sure it was powered off. I had previously downloaded onto a PC the firmware update for the M4004 which also works on the M4008 and other OPAL's. I plugged the OPAL into the PC, and booted up the PC. After installing the firmware package in the PC, you get an install screen for the new firmware with a format option for the OPAL. I selected that option, but the "start" button was greyed out as the PC still couldn;t see the OPAL. I pressed the reset (paperclip in the back of the OPAL) for about 15 seconds, than held down the "Play" button and waited. Eventually the software recognized the OPAL, and started to format it.
If you get a dialogue to restart the PC, press NO! You have to read the instructions that come with the install. Eventually I reformatted the drive, and installed new firmware.
BTW, there was no picture folder after I did this, so I just created a new folder named picture and it worked fine for the thumbnail pics I threw in there. Also when I use a MAC with the OPAL, I power the MAC up with the OPAL off but attached. After drag and dropping files into the OPAL, I power down the MAC. After power down the OPAL will after a pause give the "building databases please wait" messages, then when done go to the start menu. It is difficult on a MAC to eject the OPAL, it just reappears on the desktop so shutting down is the only safe way to administer the device. But to update firmware, which is easily corrupted BTW if you unplug the thing at the wrong time, you HAVE to do it on a PC operating system. Might work on an Intel MAC with a PC OS though.
Hope this helps.

Can't get my Zune software to forget my device

I had to replace a Zune that was dropped in water. I didn't bother trying to get the Zune program to forget the other Zune. I just attached it and started syncing my stuff. Did you try that? BTW I named the new one the same thing as the old one with no problem.

Insignia NS-DV4G video player Cant connect via USB, pc does not recognize, no cd!! help plz

I used the method that you use to update the firmware.
Turn off the unit ,,, slide it to HOLD. Then plug into the USB.
Seems to work every time for me .. Hope you have the same luck.
Strange that it has always worked until now ... same OS .. no updates since then ... But at least I can access it.
There is no driver I can find in the software bundle CD.
