Delstar is a USB mp3 player and you don't need any statup disk. Maybe it came originally with a CD as help to intall USB port on windows 98SE
If it won't work simply inserting it in your USB port check if it's blocked by lock but I believe it has no lock so if won't work, it is DEAD.
Windows media player has the ability to add/remove/manage media on mp3 players, with media player running, plug the mp3 player in and wait for the computer to respond. Media player should ask you if you want to manage songs on your player. Alternatively, the Philips website will have a copy of the software to download. Good luck.
Install the Delstar software BEFORE you plug it into your computer. Then, plug the delstar into your computer. Otherwise, XP drivers will override the manufacturer's drivers.
