First, I use to get a green screen in the middle of wathching a program. I was able to correct this by scanning threw the input selector to restore the picture. Now I am getting this green screen and after cycleing threw the input selectors, I will get a pit for about 4 seconds and then it will shut off. I'm using a HDMI calbe from cable box. I have switched to componet and the picture is back. Also, HDMI from DVD to TV is also giving me a problem. It will show picture for 4 seconds and then go blank!

By "sound but the screen on my westinghouse 32 inch flat screen is solid lime green" Do you mean that you have sound but the screen is green? If yes it means that an analog signal is being fed to a digital input. Did you recently change the input cables at the back from one port to another? If not then please describe what are colors of the cabels you are using(Yellow, Red, White or Red Blue Gren etc.,) and what port they are connected to so that I can tell you whether its a problem with the connections or the tv itself.
Unfortunately my friend, there is not a whole lot that can be done. Sharp has a great limited warranty, but it does NOT cover ANY problems due to physical damage. Getting screens replaced often times cost more than the tv itself. Save yourself the trouble of getting pissed off at sharp because they wont help you if you decide to call and replace the tv. Good luck 2 u
TRY A NEW HDMI CABLE 1ST. ALSO TRY ANOTHER INPUT. IF IT IS GREEN ON BOTH YOU HAVE A SOFTWEAR PROBLEM WITH THE UNIT AND WILL NEED TO CONTACT AUTHORIZED SERVICER TO SEE IF THE IS A SOFTWEAR UPGRADE OR TECHNICAL MENU ADJUSTMENT THAT CAN BE MADE.
Turn down your color and see if the screen has a normal black & white screen. If it doesn't then the CRT is bad (picture tube). If it is black & White then you have a either lost your red or blue. That problem will be in your video driver circuit of which a service center can handle.
