Dishwasher knob is stuck

My 15 month-old daughter discovered the dishwasher and turned the knob a few times over the past few days. Last night we ran the dishwasher. It washed everything, but the knob is now stuck in the drying section and won't turn either way. We have a GE Nautilis dishwasher that is approx. 3 years old. Any suggestions?

Sometime's something sticky may have gotten behind the timer knob you may have to disassemble the control pannel and clean behind the knob.

Low water level

I have a Samsung DMT400RHS and I started getting the low water level error ('Normal'+Heavy'+Smart Auto' LED blinking). The error started intermittently a few weeks ago, but the the last day or two the problem was solid, and simply restarting the cycle no longer worked.
I looked of the code in the dishwasher user guide and it said 'low water level.' Searched the internet and located the repair manual at for $15. The manual was well worth the $15.
The manual suggested: 1) loose level sensor connector 2) Faulty Assy case sensor or stuck floater aka 'remove foreign matter' 3) Bad Main PBA assy.
Since we do 10+ loads a week for the last 18 months the stuck floater seemed to be the most likely cause.
Go to Samsung DMT400RHS Low Water Level Error ('Normal'+Heavy'+Smart Auto' LED) (new link is click the i on each picture to see the caption - DM 04/17/2016) to see the pictures and read the captions documenting what I did. Do this at your own risk. You must turn off and disconnect the electric power and turn off the water supply before you begin.

. Hi.Have a Zanussi DI720

This is a guess but try gently moving it through the cycles by hand a few times, it may just be that the timer mechanism is stuck a bit from age and or disuse. Turning it may help to loosen it up.Be gentle though.

Dishwasher only a couple of months old. Ran it

The water may not be hot enough. Increase the temperature of the incoming hot water or try this: put the tab in the open soap cup so it will start to dissolve during the pre-wash. Then it will finish dissolving during the main wash. If the dishes get clean using this method you may not have to increase the water temp.

Dishwasher won't cycle

Sounds like you need a new timer. Costs about $50 - $60. I had the same problem. The knob now turns. Hope this helps.

Bosch SHU3300 dishwasher stuck on hot water intake (w/ no power)

It sounds like the fill vlave is stuck open. This can happen if your pressure is low or if the machine is old. I would start by replacing the vlave.
