Question about Dryers

GE Dryer DDE7200SBLWW doesn't dry quickly

I have an older dryer which heats up fine but the clothes do not dry on the first cycle through. They stay damp, takes about three times to get them dry. I've noticed a little leaking out of the door, which i believe is just the sealant on the door that needs to be replaced there but I dont think that would fix the drying problem. Any suggestions?

It sounds like it could be your vent turn dryer on go outside and feel your air coming out of vent if not a good air supply clean your venting system

GE Dryer DDE7200SBLWW -- dryer will dry on high heat for non permanent press clothes, but when you set timer and selector to Permanent Press it will not heat. Is this a thermostat issue or is the timer...

This dryer has 2 different cycle thermostats One is for 135f and the other is for 125 f. Maybe the 125f tstat is faulty? I would check that before ordering a timer. A good cleaning might do it also. Clogged dryer will overheat you know.

My dryer is not drying my clothes completely. I have to set it to time dry for at least 120 minutes to get a load of clothes to dry. I can feel that the dry is warm .I usually dry my clothes on optimum dry...

Your dryer has a double set of heating elements
1 side of the coils is probably broken and you are getting half the heat.
This is making the dryer take longer to dry them clothes.
Air restrictions in the dryer and vent can cause the heater control to shut down quickly also.
If you have a bad breaker the power will sometimes work and sometimes not.
If all of these are good you might have a problem with the timer.
Most of the GE timers have leaf switches in the that get a burr on the contacts. The come apart simple enough.

Dryer starts drying and thinks clothes are dry, but they aren't

Check the timer, and the sensor. Sounds like it is having a problem with the timer or sensor no noticing that the clothes are still wet. Please rate if satisfied. Thank you
