Re: Tension Problems with Janome DC3050

The tension seems to have just stopped working on my sewing machine, it stopped picking up the bottom thread for some of the stitching to leave a broken line and then stopped picking it up at all.... i have tried with different fabrics and changed the tension dial from 0-9 but the tread stays at the same tension the whole time. is there anything i can do?

Re: Tension Problems with Janome DC3050

If your machine is binding. It sounds like you have a threading problem. Check your manual and rethread the machine. The A is for Automatic tension I would not change that. I would also notify your dealer and see if you have thread under the bobbin case. All sewing machines should be serviced each year.

Just a possible suggestion:
Most sewing machine problems are caused by lack of lubrication.

Maybe the tension is causing an error code.

Maybe you can try oiling the recommended lubrication points in the owner's manual.

My Janome 1600 keeps breaking threads

Is the tension too tight? Are the tension discs clean? Remove bobbin case, clean it and re-thread as this may be jammed.

Am I to oil the Janome DC3050? If so, where?

Hi Betty:

The only place I am aware that the user can oil their machine is in the bobbin race. Take our your bobbin and look for a tiny white wick usually right in the center. Apply ONLY 1 drop of oil.

Brother LS-2125 - stitches forming loops on the right side as a sew

acing you has loops on it then it is the bobbin tension which is incorrect or the bobbin has been threaded wrongly. A good way to test tension is using contrasting colours top and bottom. Rethread your machine and tighten up the bobbin tension screw if needed.

Might sound simple, have you just tried rethreading it a few times? The bottom bobbin thread might be stuck on something.
