Question about Toshiba Satellite 5005-S504 Notebook
Sounds like you have two stuck keys. The S key and the TAB key. Suggest that you disassemble keyboard and clean it with alcohol.

SOURCE: Icons on desktop
The icons that flash are probably shortcuts that start with S. The S key is causing both problems most likely. There are screwed labeled with K or a unique icon. All located on the bottom of chassis below keyboard. Remove them and life up the keyboard. Do this while the power is off. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the keyboard and remove it. Power on the laptop and let it boot. Once its to the desktop you can see your result. Then all you need to do is pop out the S key and spray contact cleaner underneath rubber contact sheet. You may have to remove some screws.
