Question about Toshiba Satellite 5005-S504 Notebook
The icons keep flashing from one icons to other making'
it impossible to select an icon. Also the "S" key repeats itself
across the the screen just like it is stuck?
The icons that flash are probably shortcuts that start with S. The S key is causing both problems most likely. There are screwed labeled with K or a unique icon. All located on the bottom of chassis below keyboard. Remove them and life up the keyboard. Do this while the power is off. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the keyboard and remove it. Power on the laptop and let it boot. Once its to the desktop you can see your result. Then all you need to do is pop out the S key and spray contact cleaner underneath rubber contact sheet. You may have to remove some screws.
