Why is my Verbatim USB hard drive asking me again to format the hard drive, i have saved data on it already but it says it will delete all data if formating again Please help ?????????????

You can use Norton partition magic to format the drive without data loss. Follow the instruction on how to save your partition. Here is a link to download the software:

The Verbatim hard drive (HD) is starting to malfunction. There could be some bad sectors in the HD and needs to reformat

You need to back up the files into your computer before you reformat the HD. Contact Verbatim to see what back up program you could use for this specific HD.

this happens when the partition table information get corrupted, use partion table recovery software, the data on the hard drive is safe
