Door wont lock so it's not spinning

My washer seems to be washing but the door never locks therefor it doesn't go through the spin cycle. It isn't draining and my clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. It's 7 yrs. old and is one that has had the mold problem. Help!

If that doesnt work unplug the machine and take the 5 screws out of the back of the head and check for a bad resistor on the lower left hand corner

Hi

The issue is with the door lock assembly that is bad and should be replaced. If the door lock assembly is bad the control will sense that the door is open and so will not start a spin cycle. If you want you can test the door lock assembly with a voltmeter before replacing it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

What spin cycle are you using? Try a faster spin option. (The wrinkle release setting uses more water and a lower spin speed.)
Try putting fewer items in a load in the futute and make sure it isn't unbalanced. (One really heavy item could imbalance the load and shift the spin efficiency.) Redistribute the clothes and run a Drain/Spin cycle.
Make sure to use HE detergent (don't use more than the recommended amount of detergent).

The other issue to check is if the machine is draining properly. Check that the drain hose isn't clogged. Also check the voltage at the washer - low voltage will result in a slower spin cycle. To correct this, you probably will want to call an electrician.

I hope this helps.

After wash, clothes are soaking wet. I tried the drain and spin cycle again and while the machine hums, nothing happens. How can I take care of this?

My first one did that and it was a problem with the door lock. The door was loose and the lock light was going on but it was not really locked or not tight enough and it would spin for a minute slowly and then reverse and my clothes would still be wet.
I kept thinking I just didn't know how to use it. But they had to bring me another machine and take it back.
Hope that helps - now I love it

My wash machine wash the clothes but not doing the final spin, all the clothes all soak and wet

Handyman here -

Its possible that the door is not locking properly. If the door doesn't lock the machine will wash, but not spin the clothes dry. If you wait 15mins or so after machine is done, then set cycle to spin, it will pump any water that has dripped off your clothes out, but again it will not spin. Helps a little.

Good Luck!

Hello, problem here is the spin control board is bad. Remove panel under the door and you can locate the spin control at the rear right of the machine screwed to the floor. Replace it and you will be all set. Mike

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

Washer does not complete its cycle on any wash cycle. Error Code F 02 shows up before rinse and spin is complete. Clothes are soaking wet. What is the problem?

check the drain hose for any blockages or kinks and check to make sure water passes through it freely. it may be that it's just not emtying quick enough and therefore clothes remain wet. in a worse case scenario the pump itself could be faulty :(

Clothes wet, doesnt spin fast

Check the drain spigot, where the drain hose attaches to the drain trap under the sink/tub.There may be a blockage in the spigot which is causing the water to drain very slowly and therefor not allowing the machine to spin at normal fast speed.
