You'll need to contact the owner of the stolen computer and get the password from them. If you ARE the owner, you'll need to contact HP and obtain instructions from them after providing verification of ownership.

To prevent a thief from bypassing such security, this security cannot be bypassed on a laptop. If you have "proof" (sales receipt) that the laptop really is yours, HP may be able to assist you.

One thing you can do is a Hard Reset and it will reset your BIOS to the original state.
To perform a hard reset, follow the steps below.
  1. Unplug the AC adapter from the notebook PC and remove from any port replicator or docking station.
  2. Remove the battery from the notebook battery compartment.
  3. Press and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds. NOTE: Holding down the power button while the computer is turned off drains any residual charge in the capacitors.
  4. Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook PC.
  5. Press the power button to turn the notebook PC back on.
  6. Use the arrow keys to highlight Start Windows Normally , if it is not already highlighted, and then press the enter key.
You can now use the notebook PC as usual.

go to bios setup by pressing F2 KEY and then go to password option and remove it.
