Plantronics BT headset can't connect to PS3 slim

I bought a plantronics series 300 BT headset. When I try to pair the headset to the PS3 slim, the screen only says:
Scanning.... please wait.
and that's about it. I already try to let it scan for an hour and nothing happens. Please help!

Hi, first you have to enable the Bluetooth to scanning mode,
To do this, press and hold the power button continously for 10 seconds, you may have a stable LED, this shows that its in discoverable mode, Now perform scanning and you may get your device and you can pair and make it work
