Hello, if you have your original remote you can program your remote to learn the button from the original (if your universal remote has that function) if not the then you will not be able to.
Check for your manual here:

it depends on your remote useuallyyou would press and hold setup button until the red led stays on about 4 seconds, and then release button.. then press and releasethe ok button . then press and release the # 0 buttonthe indicator will flash twice. this may not work if it not a uviversal remote. if the remote that came with the set just take the batteries out for a while to see if that works

I have a sony (model KP61V75) a split screen came on (two pictures) and I cannot figure out how to get it back to one screen. Im going crazy!

Some television remote controls have a PIP OFF button, while others only have a PIP button that needs to be pressed repeatedly until the PIP/Twin-View window disappears.

NOTES:

  • Some Sony rear projection televisions have a FLASH FOCUS button that will turn off the PIP/Twin-View feature.

  • Some Sony universal remote controls, if programmed to operate a Sony TV, can disable the PIP/Twin-View feature by pressing the REC or ENT button.

  • If the original TV remote control is not available or is not functioning properly, auto programming the television tuner orperforming a power reset may deactivate the PIP/Twin-View feature.

  • If pressing the appropriate buttons on the TV remote control does not work, then the PIP/Twin-View window might be from a two-tuner cable or satellite set-top box. If this is the case, use the remote control provided with the set-top box to remove the PIP/Twin-View window.

Cant turn off panasonic PIP

To turn off the "stuck" pip on a Panasonic tv without a remote, turn off the tv. Then hold down the "Action" button on the front of the tv and press the power button. This will activate a reset and self check of the systems and voila! The pesky pip screen will be gone! This is on an approximately 10 year old regular crt "CT-xxxxx" series tv.

Pip is stuck and i don't even have a pip button on my remote!

The problem was solved by using the TWC cable remote control and selecting "TV" on the top and the press the big blue "Select" button. DO not forget to put the remote back into "CBL" mode. Apparently this is a hidden feature, which works even on TVs, which officially do not support PIP. I works only with the one tuner, video 2 and video 3 but not video 1.

PIP stuck

MrKevin, some Hitachis have 2 different pip buttons on the remote, I believe 1 says pip mode or something to that effect, do the rest of the functions on your remote work? Check and see if you have a second pip button and be sure the remote is set to "tv" if it has that little slide button on the side, good luck, hope this helps
